Here is yet another, slightly better than previous, video of "MAP THIS!" GPS viewer in action:

Actually, this shows a replay of a GPS data, captured on one of my field trials. This was done in order to get steady shot and good focus. Of course, it looks exacly the same with "life" GPS feed.
The clip shows the difference between "NORTH UP" and "TRACK UP" modes and the use of "zoom" functionality.

The maps are stored on MS. WIFI is just one of the ways (probably the easiest) to get them there.

the GPS is wired through a USB cable to the PSP remote control Port/connector, with a resistor between to protect your PSP.

good job deniska!!! at this time your soft work with other map or only with american map? ( i'm french ) and where we can find your gps wiever for test it? i'm were interest by this project i wait the final realys with lot of interest

I think you should get pretty good coverage of most places in Western Europe, North America, Japan and Australia. Check google maps for details...
They do have terrible coverage of South America and Africa though...

I would like to become a tester of the PSP navigation. Soon I should get all the needed parts. I live in Germany and I have a question about the maps. My brother owns a TomTom navigation. I heard that it's possible to get his map in a GPX format. Please, could you explain how it is exacly? I have no idea how to get the mapsI found this link

would i beable to put a Pensacola Florida, usa map in the program? also a feature that lets it tell you how to get to your destination would be sweet. if you add these features then it would be the best home brew ever, since i really suck at finding my way around town. also where did you get that psp car holder your using?

also keep up the awsome work that you are doing, cant wait to test this out.

The Arcon mount was bundled together with the gps receiver as a freebie..

thats cool, if this becomes usfull for me, meaning it tells me how to get some where like the "TOM TOM" then i will defenitly be getting that gps unit, thats pretty cool how that holder fits well with the psp :).

do you plan on adding features to your program in the future that lets it tell you how to get some where?
