View Full Version : New paint job!

August 13th, 2006, 02:41
i was kinda getting bored of my dreamcast's boring white and grey paint job, so, i spraypainted it and the controller flat black! the first 2 pics are of the DC itself, along with a close up of where i left the sega and winCE symbols. i plan on changing out the LED with either a green or blue LED. the inside of the cd tray is painted, but i couldnt open it or my brother's game progress would go to shit. the third pic shows the controller's grey and black colors, and the fourth pic shows my entire setup. that PSX is next... ;) post comments plz!

I've painted one DC controller orange and one blue (using model paint.) I was thinking about painting my DC because I do own two of them.

thanks for all the comments guys. yeah acidburn, my room looks like shit, only because i work during the summer, and dont have time to clean it. this paint job took me two hours to dissassmble, paint, and reassemble after drying for an hour or so. i plan on painting my playstation with glossy blue and black, im still figuring out how i want the color scheme. i want it blue and black b/c it matches my blue glowing pelican controller. oh, under oath, of course it's leet, my street address is 1337 green hill rd.

Good Work cant wait to see the PSX work get done. I have at times thought about doing a mod with my DC but i'm a little lazy.

You know I must have spent way too much of my life playing that game because I immediately recognized it. My cousin and I easily spent two years playing that game.

the logo is crooked painted and so is the CE logo.

good job, but i dont like the way the logos are painted around, with some grey bits left over.

anyway, here's my painted DC for you all to enjoy.
i also modded the LED to a green one.

sorry about the bad quality on a few of them

oh wow. a PAL dreamcast. talk all you want about the grey bits on my wince and sega symbols, at least i bothered to keep them. maybe my NTSC dreamcast needed those grey bits left around for flair. it looks like a teletubby puked on yours, and dont forget i did this first. and, to get one-up, im gonna scrape off the old paint(yes, scrape, i used a crappy brand and it comes off at the tip of my nail), paint it glossy white and... well, you'll see.

September 3rd, 2006, 22:18
hahaha i bothered to sand mine off beforehand
and paint the controller board and replace the LED :D

and i only got my DC recently, and only read this thread after i did mine lol

glossy white? seems like a big mistake, dont forget to use primer first as well

Yeah As, that aint too good. paint seems lunky and chunky. I only wanted to see Big's with an evened out logo. that dont take AutoCAD software to accomplish. By the way, pls don't tell me ur that guy in the avatar? i wish u would change it, its sick and dorky.

much better.
