Help! With Wifi Controller! I Dont Understand iT.

I did all the steps in installing it exept this one. which i dont get. Please Help me.




13. Run the SocketText.exe program. It will open a Command Prompt window. Just minimize it. You need to have SocketText.exe running at all times in order to use the PSP as a joystick.

can anyone tell me what the socketText.exe program is?

Go into the PC folder and it should be there.

i personally have to restart my router and psp every time i want to connect my controller....annoying =(

I found why its not working

this step-

. Open the PSP directory and edit the proper wifi.cfg for your PSP version and set the IP of the computer you are going to use this on. If you don't know your IP address. Go to your "Start" menu. Click on "Run..." When the box opens up type "cmd.exe" without the quotes. When the command prompt opens type "ipconfig" without the quotes. It will report your IP address

when i try to open the wifi thing windows cant read it. so can u help me.

The program SocketText.exe is the same as the WiFiController program in the PC folder.

you first have to download ppjoy, as it says in the readme....and set up a virtual controller....once thats setup, then the wificontroller.exe will run and will just sit there and say "hit esc to exit"....take it from there

hi i am also having problems with wificontroller v0.4.2 i followed every step (ime having trouble with the 1st 1 tho: 1. Open the PSP directory and edit the proper wifi.cfg for your PSP version and set the IP of the computer you are going to use this on. i havnt got wifi.cfg in my psp directory but theres 1 in PSP/GAME/__SCE__wificontroller/wifi.cfg so i put my ip in there i followed the rest of the steps opened sockettest.exe (mines called wificontroller.exe 4 some reason.) then opened wificontroller on my psp connected to my pc i went on control panel/game controllers/propities and it wasnt working so were have i gone wrong?
