i have a 1.5 psp and ive added devhook so its now a 2.7 aswell. Will original umds not run on this emulated firmware? As when i put a game in it just locks up is this right?

It should not lock up,sounds like you don't have the firmware installed.Yes it will play older umd's up to 2.71.Which is the firmware you should install not 2.7.

It should work. All UMDs are known to work with the latest Devhook. Does 2.7 load up without a UMD present, and once you place a UMD in the drive (in 2.7) the psp freezes?

EDIT: someone always seems to beat me to it!

The installer i gave you has the 2.71 firmware dump included. It should be fine. Try re-installing!

i dont think you have any of the firmaware files so you can ask a friend for it or search on google for .46 devhook unltimate installion and download and it has everything you need.

so in short, he had it set to Iso(whatever it says here) rather than UMD disk, i guess it freezes cause it tried to load something thats not there
(sorry for talking about the forbbiden taboo, but im just trying to figure this out)

Ok, is there a fast way to change between devhooks "higher" firmware and my original firmware? SO far I can boot recover and hit 'home' to return back to my 1.5. But how do I easily jump back into the devhook's higher firmware spoof? I only know how to re-run the devhook unstaller, redump firmware and the save. Takes forever. What am I missing?
