which is safer?

Hi i downgraded my 2.60 to 1.50 when the downgrader came out and everything is fine but i am aware i only have a 1.5 dump. For me to get a clean 1.50 firmware so i can use custom firmware do you suggest i:

(1) Upgrade to 2.0 and downgrade using mph downgrader

or

(2) use the 1.5-1.0 downgrader and update to 1.5

I think there's more success story for 2.0 to 1.5 downgrading.. Mine is 1.52 to 2.0 then 1.5 using guide in this forum..

yeh i don't know much about the 1.5>1.0 downgrader so i think the upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade using MPH downgrader would be more safe cuz i did it for $h!ts and giggles, and so i would have a clean 1.5 psp :D

I just did a upgrade to 2.0 and down to 1.50 from a 1.52 for a friend they are simple. I really have to give my friend credit for waiting patiently for me to come over and setup his system (different schedules different jobs, families). He even had games he couldn't play yet but waited for me to come over and set him up. I just hate having to loan him my memory stick for now though as he ony has the stock 32mb one. But we are both getting 4 gig sticks next payday. I even bought his 1.52 for him because I couldn't get together with his wife to go purchase it together so I purchased it on my own time and she paid me back. That way I made sure he had a 1.52 to 2.00 when I bought it. It's such a joy though to bring my friends into the world of homebrew and retrogaming playing all the classics we grew up with.
