Bangai-O heading to XBLA

Bonkers scrolling shooter Bangai-O is being remade for Xbox Live Arcade under the name Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury.

The game's due out this autumn and is being developed by Bangai-O inventor Treasure.

Missile Fury has got, out of necessity, thousands of missiles. There are over 100 levels, too, plus a level editor to make-your-own and share them with friends.

We missed this announcement the other day, so apologies if you already knew.

Great game, had it on the dreamcast

The problem with this game is it was designed with the N64 controller in mind, with the user holding the left and middle prongs of the controller instead of the usual middle and right prongs.
So, on the N64 your left thumb was on the dpad and controlled the movement of your character while the right thumb was on the analogue stick and controlled the firing.
This configuration didn't translate so well to the DC controller but might work with the Xox 360s 2 analogue sticks.
