How does a PSP error (right at the end of the video) equate to "Omg!!! I Can Run Homebrew on 2.60 using etc" ? It does not run or even start homebrew.

well, ill show you why...incoming video #2

Video_freak

Usually, it just says "Data is corrupt" and doesn't even attempt to load. I don't find this amazing, but maybe that one guy does (or he's looking for attention ;))

EVERY OTHER homebrew produces these results, as you'll see in video 2, except for 0okm's...which means he's doing something.

compare & contrast those....same psp btw. if you want me to make a new one of the second video w/ me powering it up and showing system version...just ask :)

i hope someone makes good use of this :O

This is good news, but it's nothing for now as it doesn't actually load it. :(

one step in the right direction tho...theres a GOOD chance if he could do that, he could make something load...i wonder if he knows that his programs manage to do this?

im not as excited as that other guy....but im pretty hyped, this is news to me ^_^

there is hope for us TA-082 users!!! i know it!

It's like what happened on 1.5 PSPs before KXPloit, it would just try to load, then fail. If they make something kinda like what they did for 1.5 users (KXPloit) maybe there's hope. :)

Let me make a prediction.

Try this with any v1.0-formatted EBOOT on your 2.0+ PSP.

I think it will behave the same as the Ookm USB app you tried.

Then try it with any v1.5-formatted (kxploit) EBOOT. I think you'll get the corrupted data error.

In other words : I believe this is just the difference between kxploit and non-kxploit, since the kxploit version is a simple ELF renamed as EBOOT.PBP, whereas the non-kxploit is a genuine complete (but unsigned) EBOOT.PBP.

(Actually this might be the other way around, now I think about it ... but you get the point).

once again this proves nothing. fanjita pointed out the obvious.

all you have discoved is that 2.0 up firmwares do not run unsigned code....duh
