The young, sexy vampires of True Blood may be about to return to UK screens tomorrow, but developer PadWorx Digital Media is reviving the king of the bloodsuckers, Dracula, in a new interactive e-book for the iPad.
PadWorx will release Bram Stoker’s Dracula via the App Store in time for Halloween. The interactive e-book features 300 pages of text, animation, gameplay, touch-screen interaction, social media, music, sound effects and more.
Users can light up words with a lantern, blow the leaves off of tombstones to reveal the writing underneath, and even use ‘blood’ to reveal hidden text on a page.
“Our new interactive version of Dracula is unlike anything I’ve ever seen on the iPad,” said Jeffery Alan Schechter, director and producer at PadWorx.
“From fans of the original classic tale, to the blood and romance fans of the Twilight books and movies, to tech savvy enthusiasts, there are plenty of elements to keep everyone reading for hours."
