Conde Nast's UK MD Nicholas Coleridge says a much as 40 per cent of the publisher's sales could come from iPad apps or other tablet devices in the future.
The Guardian reports on Coleridge's address to Conde Nast's advertisers and execs regarding the publisher's digital strategy, during which he confirmed that Wired and Vogue are about to get UK iPad editions.
The apps will go live with the December issues of both magazines, priced at £3.99 each.
Coleridge speculated that in 15 years time 30-40 per cent of Conde Nast's sales would come from devices like the iPad, with the remainder from print.
The company launched its Wired iPad app in the US back in May. So far it has launched 36 apps globally, mainly for the iPhone.
