Grand Theft Auto Coming to PSP

Reporting its first quarter fiscal 2005 financial results, Take-Two Interactive announced that an all new Grand Theft Auto title, set in Liberty City, will be released for the PSP in Q3 2005.

In a conference call earlier today, Take 2 announced that the PS2 hit Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has sold a whopping 12 million units combined in North America and Europe (it's not out in Japan yet). Yes, that's right, 12 million. Insane, huh?

Take 2 also revealed some important dates for upcoming projects. Xbox and PC owners will finally be able to get their hands on San Andreas when those versions are released on June 7 in North America (and June 10 in Europe).

Last, but not least, the brand new GTA game for PSP will be released during Take 2's third quarter, which means sometime between May and July.
