well consider the people who have broken psp's....like it wont turn on or something simple....i guarantee 70% of them or more would just throw them out, without knowing you can recover at LEAST $120 usd on ebay by selling it....

and i guarantee 70% of ebayers dont realize how protected they actually are when they use paypal =)

on the same note, my 1gb is a fake memory stick, and even tho some of the plastic notches between the contacts broke, and even tho the ms pro adapter was misshapen, its still served me good..../shrug ill report with my findings once i get it :)

A LOT more. Not only the plastic though. Even temp changes can destroy them. :(

i take mine out, put it in every time i wanna test something...i treat it like crap, and still works like a champ!

like i said, the plastic notches between the gold contacts....2 broke off....but the contacts are still seperated by some surface plastic so still works good.

can you elaborate on the temperature changes, videofreak? did you read something on this?

well, as long as its legitimate....if they advertise it as a SONY ms pro duo and its a magicgate, you win.

if they clearly show its a magicgate....and you contact magicgate, and it turns out that it IS a fake (im sure they have testers, as each memory stick has a unique serial number....found out when i had to unlock one for a magellan gps....and by tester i mean software)...you still win.

as long as you are VALID, paypal is your bodyguard. i've had 5 or 6 disputes and won them all.

just dont abuse it and try something sneaky to legitimate sellers :)

It's much worse on fakes. They're more fragile...

Hmm, not to get off topic or anything :) but has anyone else (besides me) had any bad luck with fake pro duo's??? I have had a couple in my my time and always end getting a lot of corrupted data or just losing it completely.

Oh, here is an interesting fact I learned the other day since we are on the topics of fakes. Some Chinese entrepeneurs (is that spelled correctly?) have started making copies of expensive french wines. You gotta love that!:p

what do you mean "fake"? Tekken and RR6 saves and loads properly without a problem. Only Tony Hawk and OutRun have issues, saying "There is insufficient space to save.....blah, bla, blah, balh"
