There should be a homebrew emu coming soon (Sep. 1st) that should load some demos and maybe some commercial games? We don't know about the one Sony ismaking though.

well the creators said that the emulator is able to support cso and dax which will take 50% or more off a game and each ps1 disc can store up to 700MB but, that doesnt mean that each game will be 700MB, some games might take less than a 100 when comppressed.

PSX Was A Combo PS1/DVD Player Released In Japan. PS1 Was A Big Gray Playstation, PSone Was A Smaller More Compact Model.n I Guess People Say PSX Because Aside From The Combo Thing, Alot Of People Called The PS1 PSX.

You know what the messed up part of it is, how the heck are the controls gonna be without the second analog stick. R+L+Analog stick?? Yikes

most games on the ps1 didnt need the r2+l2 and second analog stick.

When the playstation was first released the controller had no analogue sticks only a d-pad, so with that in mind most of he games before analogue compatibility can be played with the psp stick and L2-R2 can be used with left and right on the psp d-pad(or another config)

The PSX was a cross PS2/DVR/what-have-you released in Japan. O_o It's what the LocationFree could also connect to in Japan. It was not a Playstation 1.

I have a quick question: Why are you waiting for PSX emulation to play FF IV, V, and VI? You can play those on the SNES emulator or GBA emu (for FFIV and soon FFV). O_o That way, you don't have to wait, it'd load much faster, and it takes less space.

PSX is the project code-name for PS (1) before it's mass-produced. Same thing as Ultra 64 to Nintendo 64, Dolphin for GameCube Or Dural for DreamCast..

I don't recall there's a combo PS1 and DVD player.. There is a PS1 designed to be played on a PC's hi-res monitor only sold in Japan, but no DVD drive (that's happened to be so expensive at that time)

Perhaps only flight-simulator need both of those analog..

Its the principal they call a game rom just cause. ps2 , xbox , gamecube there all isos but if we want to get technical not all roms we call roms are roms because of there format.:D
