u can just get the modchip, get it profesionally instaled, it will probably run ya up 125$with instal included, but u get all the firmwares and other great features.Because if u get a new1 from the store it will have a new firmware.

Theres still hope if u cough up the cash

M!ckeY
August 30th, 2006, 04:26

DefaultGen
August 30th, 2006, 07:15
I KNOW that whether he was following a tutorial, reading directions from the updater, or listening to someone it said SOMEWHERE to not pull out the battery.

Doesn't the updater force you to have 100% battery AND be plugged into a power source?

BL4Z3D247
August 30th, 2006, 07:20
no just the adapter plugged in

DefaultGen
August 30th, 2006, 07:48

I rarely post on this board (tend to lurk mostly :p ). But I think this is well worth a reply.

This should be a reminder to everyone that when doing anything like this, read the instructions repeatedly and know what you are doing. I still can't believe someone would do that though... I think it's a joke.

If it's a joke=that's pretty funny
If it's real=tool

This is hilarious. I can't believe any one could be so incredibly stupid. XD

Ah well, you got a new PSP for free, so it's not so bad. ;)

Jpdeathblade
August 31st, 2006, 22:28
I am a lurker too =P

I think that noobs should not get expencive things. At gamestop the guy should ask you 10 questions, if you fail he smacks you and two big guys throw you out of the store and beat you to death for being a noob. =P

I dont like it when people call young/new members "noobs" and "stupid" I find it rude and uncalled for and if I had my way, people like you would be strung up and subjected to perpetual tickeling.....You would laugh and laugh and eventuallay you would pee yourselves, but it wouldnt stop there, I would feed you aswell so when you have to take a dump, you will go in your trousers/jeans and you will be laughing at the same time, because id still have you being tickled!

Stop being mean to the "noobs" inexperienced members...

jak66
September 30th, 2006, 14:50
too true bullhead, all the 'noob' talk makes this place more like unfriendly forums (sure you can all think of at least one)
but still, when your updating it does say not to remove the battery, ac adapter and the UMD/memory stick (depending on what your updating with) so it really is a stupid mistake to make, and even if you didnt want 1.5 theres always the 1.5=>1.0 degrader

EDIT: Wow, this has been revived from like a month ago...whats up with that?

I've seen some idiots in real life with PSPs too.

- My friend wipes his screen with his sleeve (ouch)
- Someone looking at a 2nd hand psp scratched the screen with their finger nail (what were they testing, the durability of the screen with pressured fingernails?)

Idiocy.

Rocksil
October 2nd, 2006, 12:59
i read somewhere that a guy punched the screen of his psp with his bear fist because he was losing and the screen broken and the glass got stuck in his hand so he had to be take to the ER

Idiocy.
Very True
