Hello,
I bought japanese grey Sega Saturn on ebay.de and seller write about "defekt".

Console was delivered to my house, I want turn on, but it doesn't.

Seller told me that he plug console without power converter (110/220).

Maybe you know what should I do now... I think the fuse is blown but I'm not sure...

Please help me if you can :)

Thanks.
Paul

Ah, so you're from Germany?

If someone plugged that console into a European socket without a stepdown converter, then it probably fried (aka completely done for).

Check to see if the console smells like fried components. It's a pretty bad smell, but it's the easiest way to find out if it's still alright or not. If it's good, get a step-down converter and enjoy your Saturn! :)

Hah, the old blown Saturn thing...

They're easily enough repaired, I believe by the power input on the power board there is a fuse looking thing (it's been that long since I've been inside mine). It can be replaced with one either from another console (they're inside Dreamcast's also) or purchased from somewhere, I'm lucky enough that when I had a problem there was another console waiting ready with the part.

Or basically, what Taco said... Stepdown converter, but also what I said. :p
