Yea 256 is a little bit on the low site, but it works. It seems like a decent price to me if you add it all up separatly it comes out to be more than that

Currently I'm using a 2 gig Micro-SD Card with my M3 and have ten 22 minute episodes of bleach, about 50 songs and some programs and roms on mine.

its a little on the steep side.. i am also from UK and if you get those components separately you can get it cheaper (although personally i dont need card reader) but if you check out the supercard website and find the UK dealers there are some cheap supercard lites, and the passcard should be £15 (superkey that is). I found it to be about £50-60.
