Update to 3.00

i'd say none would wanna update aside from those who dun know the goodness of homebrew, it just ain't worth sacrificing NES,SNES,GBC,GBA,N64... emus for just 1 PSX emu which is already being worked on by a team of coders...lol

A DevHook capable of 3.0 emu will take time..
And while it's not done some will upgrade.

history has shown it will be cracked eventually. just wait it out. some of u be anxious, and then when u get what u want, it doesnt last very long. we get SO MUCH MORE at 1.5 than any other firmware. there will be alot of awkward controllin ps1 games when the emu does come out. so, who cares. i'll wait for the coders version.

The PS1 emu isn't the thing that makes me think. It's the PS3. I think that when the PS3 comes out the firmware is actually going to be worth while. LocationFree access through your PS3 and the PSP is said to become a virtual PS3. This is why I am contemplating a mod chip. If I upgraded I couldn't live without a mod chip.

No way I'd buy another PSP first if not mod chip the one I have. I think I would prefer the mod chip as it might allow me to beta test homebrew without risk if bricking my PSP.

The PS3 is going to cost a fortune...but I'd just get anotehr one too. First they would have to show me some games worth getting before I fork out that money....and they failed on the PSP to do that even once.

And I can wait until someone comes out with a PSX emulator...if it ever happens. If not...no big deal.

I too would buy a second psp for use with the ps3,there's no way I'd lose my homebrew capability for a PS1 emu.Not with a homebrew one around the corner:)

instead of buying another psp if i were to get ps3 i would just buy a modchip that works with 3.0 then i could have homebrew and ps3 compatability

I'm just gonna wait it out. Patience always pays off. Eventually 3.0 emulation will be a reality. :) Besides I have more than enough homebrew to keep me busy until then. :D

I would definatley upgrade to pay for games that I already own and not play my beautiful sweet homebrew that would totally be worth it especially when I could just wait for the public release of yoshiros ps1 emu.

Once sony's OFFICIAL ps1 emu comes out, wouldnt all other ps1 emus be considered warez??? If that were true then dcemu wouldnt post anymore news on the homebrew ps1 emu. Devhook might be the only option other than upgrading, and i will NEVER upgrade my 1.5.

I already have a real PlayStation, so I really don't need an emulator. Plus it won't be too long until there's a PS1 emulator working on 1.50 anyway, whether it be through DevHook or an unofficial emulator. There's no point in upgrading, because I don't need to upgrade to get the stuff that version 3.00 will offer.
