Hi,

I've finally bitten the bullet and decided to buy a DS Lite (mainly down to all the extra functionality with the homebrew, etc), and am wondering what to buy?

It looks like my options are the Supercard Lite or new M3 Lite with Passcard 3, or the new DS Link (but i havent seen anything really about that).

Im going to be using it mainly for DS Games (obviously), and emulation of old consoles. Maybe a few other bits like ScummVM and maybe some organiser software.

Does anyone have any information as to which of these (or any others) will be the best to suit me? Any help at all would be great!

Cheers.

For what you want to do, the only difference is price and the fact that there have been recent developments on the DS Linux front that use the extra RAM Supercards have.

I think the M3 also has the RAM expansion, I would say M3 because it probably has more compatibility with homebrew, but who knows

The M3 RAM cannot be utilized by homebrew.

But I hear they are working on it...

Im a little confused now.

If we ignore the homebrew bit and focus on games and emulators, which is best? I can then work the homebrew around that...

Would the G6 be an option as well?

There is so much to think about!

Fantastic.

Think i'll order one tonight now as I bought the DS yesterday!

Have they also fixed the problem about it being hard to get out of the console itself? Not such a worry really, more intrigue...

I never had a problem all you have to do is put the left side first then the right and push in. Then to get out do the same comes out reall easy. Then again why take it out.:D

And is it worth going for a 1 or 2GB card?

all depends what you want it for. Emulators for the NDS are not the greates but if you want to play your GBA or NDS roms id say 2gb

Look for an ATP card if they make one?
Other than that the Sandisk ones should do well enough.
