Need Help Plz 1.52>1.50

I bought a new psp n it has 1.52. Do i Need to downgrade to 1.50 to play homebrews or it can it play them alrdy.

First you need to upgrade to 2.00 using this file http://www.psp-hacks.com/download.php?id=5 (put in a UPDATE folder inside you PSP/GAME folder) Then you need to use the 2.00 downgrader of which there is a very good guide on this site somewhere.

1more thing how do u play homebrews. Do i just copy the file into my GAME Forlder or do i need to run something to play them.

The Daedalus file has 3 folder within it after u unzip it, do i place all the 3 files or just 1 of them into my game folder.(R8_v150/R8_v100/R8_src)

it's the menu bar when u boot up ur psp if there's no UMD inside or when u play a game and press home...that's the XMB, cross media bar*

Custom firmware is a firmware released by homebrew coders so instead of having a 1.5 psp, u can go for having a 'special' firmware that is not released by Sony. It has recovery mode so it makes flashing safer since it can sort of be undone when something screws up. WHen flashing, it is best to plug in the AC adapter to ur psp to reduce chances of bricking

whenever u flash something, there is a small risk of bricking your psp cos the files get corrupted

devhook emulates firmware so u can have 2.71 stuff on ur 1.5 psp like flash enabled, wma enabled and internet explorer thingy

IRShell is a different OS which serves as an alternative to the XMB

I dont know if im doing something wrong but everytime i try to run the game a pop comes up say the game could not not be started(80020130).

okay i dint get the pop anymore when i try to run a game but, the game doesn't show.Do i use a umb to run it.

Once youve flashed custom firmware it's in the flash,you can remove it from the memstick.Make sure your batt is fully powered up before flashing though.I recommend x-flash to install custom firmware,after doing a firmware dump of course.
Go into game/memstick to run your programs.

Oh I was just saying if you install custom firmware make sure your battery is fully charged first.
X-flash is a program that lets you customize your firmware aswell as install custom firmware.
A firmware dump is all of the files from your firmware "dumped" to the memory stick.You can do this with x-flash.
Very useful incase of any problems while flashing the psp.

Putting custom backgrounds,fonts,and gameboots are some of the more risky things you can do with a 1.5.
You should use x-flash for that, as it makes sure the files aren't too big

i think 480x272 is the limit. try not to go over 300x168 unless you like big flashing squares in the settings part of the xmb.

Okay i know that smash Gpsp has only mario n lugui as the characters it runs okay.But i donwload smashpack, Is it the samething as gpsp or do grab n drop the other characters folders into the Gpsp1.Cuz when i run the smashpack alone it loads for sec n it returns back to the xmb.

Also how do i selected a character.

In the roms folder of the snes emulator..

If there isn't one, create a folder named "roms" and put them in there
