I'm having a problem with downgrading my 2.71 psp.

I do have the 1.5 file(not document, apparently) and the 2.71 downdater/downgrader file that I get from the pspupdates.com site in the root of my memory stick. so far, I'm pretty much doing what I need to do. I've probably tried more than 50 times, yet no red screen, just mostly the viewing of the picture and occasionally a blank screen.

ps- what are the files I need to copy from my MP_ROOT to the mem stick root?

you need 1.5 firmware dumps not file,If I understand what you said correctly
Make sure you don't have a TA-082 motherboard.

All i can say is search the torrents for a full version.

no I don't have ta-82
I did find a full version somewhere. but again, it was just a single "unidentified" .rar file

Just go to psp-hacks they will have a full package downgrader so you wont have to worry about missing files.

well I did download a few things directly to my psp. I'll try them out when I get on the computer later on
