No versions of DGEN past .70 will run using the TIFF eloader on a TA-082 2.6. NONE.

Besides that, everything that works with the GTA .97 eloader works with the TIFF .98 eloader.

@carpy
my findings were same as lmt for the snes emu
moreover, pspvba does not work too
this also refers to gpsp0.6, i haven't tried the 0.5 yet though

it would be better if you could contribute to the working and non-working list though :D

OK..after much file sorting fixing damaged files on my psp etc, here are my findings

for Gpsp0.5, u may have problems loading roms that are above 16MB. I couldn't load my Pokemon >.<

Other than that the rest of the roms below 16MB that i've tested work fine

That's funny. I was pretty sure that my comment about no version of DGEN past version .70 working with the new TIFF Eloader WAS contributing to the works/not works list.

All the other Homebrew I tested works fine.

Those would be:

Asteroids
PSPAtari
PSPLynx
Capcom PS1 (beta 2)
Ceres 1.3
ColemPSP
Descent PSP
Doom PSP .05
Duke Nukem 3D
Heart of the Alien
MAME4ALL .002
Mame PSP version 0.01
NGEPSP 0.2
NES for PSP .50
Quake PSP
Daedalus R8
PSPMaster .09 Beta 2

At any rate, DGEN version 1.10c still works with the .98 GTA Eloader, just fine. But it doesn't work with the .98 TIFF exploit Eloader version.

Also - the New version of the GTA eloader still doesn't have the USB option, but the TIFF version does, and it's very handy.

Can anyone confirm with with me whether psplayer_mt is working fine with this eloader? Most people find it to be working but not me

I am using fw 2.60 and it was working fine for me when I use it with gta exploit but cannot play any video when using this new eloader ... it will hang when it wants to play a video

hope those who successful uses can tell me what fw they using or help me ...maybe I am doing something wrong here

hmmm...i wonder if this is considered as double posting but ar well...

it appears that in the end, PSPlayerMT is unable to run avi files which is feedback from biogone, i only tested it with a mp4 file.

biogone81
September 7th, 2006, 16:16
yup i found out psplayer_mt can play mp4 files but cannot play avi files (480 x 272 resolution video).

Since xmb can play mp4 and avc ....so I guess this means psplayer_mt (which most people use to view video at 480 x 272 resolution) kind of useless and in conclusion does not work with this new eloader

If anyone knows any video player that can play video format of 480 x 272 resolution and works on firmware 2.60 and this tiff eloader .... please share

OKAY! CPS2PSP test 5 is working only if u edit the loader098.cfg file. i edited it with notepad and it worked for me.

Hmmm, it doesn't run. I think maybe the TA-082 is what's wrong.
It displays the menu, and goes all the way to where you select the game, but freezes when trying to load the cache file. It looks like, memory that should have been allocated has not, in actuality, been allocated.
Of the 19MB that I was able to allocate, there was no problem up till around 11MB, so I think that applications that are smaller than that should have no problems.
Everything I've made has gone bad (laugh)

On the other hand, the GTA Loader version works properly. It seems as though the allocatable memory has increased by about 1MB. Hmm, I wonder if something can't be done about this.

I made some attempts to get it to work.
Please add the below text to ms0:/PSP/eloader/loader098.cfg
It's only for smaller games (as a rule of thumb, those with a zip file size under about 10MB), but I think they should run. It looks like the allocatable memory is exceedingly small.
You should also make the same change to NGEPSP and CPS1PSP as well.
Well, for the time being it looks like the applications I've built run better with the GTA loader, and not the TIFF loader. But, even better still is to downdate to FW1.5.

An example of how to modify loader098.cfg

Ever considered using the PSP Homebrew Database (http://psp-homebrew.eu) rather than generating yet another compatibility list?

I wish Wraggster had included the part of the news post that requests people to use the database to record compatibility information, that way everybody can see and report what works and what doesn't, rather than having scattered bits of information here and there, only visible to users of one forum or another.

See www.noobz.eu for the full release text, it really bothers me when people selectively edit that stuff.

Been to your site a 1,000 times. It's great.

two issues:

#1 - the news posts on teh front page go down off the bottom of the screen in Firefox and there is no scroll bar, so you can't read the whole articles you posted.

#2 - the Homebrew database part is great, but I can't seem to find any way to submit my findings. Is there a page that's missing, or do people just email you results?

I know the frame scrolling is a bit lame on fanjita.org, but noobz.eu should work fine. I use Firefox all the time to view and develop the site, so I'm surprised that it gives you trouble. Can you email me a screenshot?

#2 - the Homebrew database part is great, but I can't seem to find any way to submit my findings. Is there a page that's missing, or do people just email you results?

If you're logged in, then there will be 'Add New Entry' buttons on various pages, e.g.

- When viewing the main homebrew list, there's an 'Add' button to add new homebrew titles.

- When viewing a homebrew title, there's a table of known versions, and an 'Add' button to add new version details.

- When viewing homebrew details, there's a table of compatibility reports, and an 'Add' button to add new test results.

I'm always keen to hear about usability problems, 'cos what seems obvious to me is not always obvious to saner minds ;)

That's the link to the 'confirmed working' list, which means that at least 2 people agreed that it's working.

You can also view the 'reported working but unconfirmed' list by just choosing that from the dropdown box on that page.

I think that our list have been tested more than once (me and Blazed and other member who uses the link) So it could be an "Confirmed" as I think.
