I've had a search around but not been able to find anything about this topic so I hope someone can help me out.

I originally had a 2.00 FW PSP and updated the FW a while back to 2.71 to play F1 2006. When the 2.71 downgrader came out last week I thought that I'd give it a go but bricked my PSP in the process (doh)

So anyway, I got a Japanese PSP with original 1.5 FW running on it from eBay and have installed devhook etc, but was just wondering if it's safe to copy my old F1 2006 savadata files (and indeed all my other save games) to my new savadata or devhook folder for use on my new PSP?

If it's possible is there any risk? I don't really want a second paperweight.

Any help appreciated :)

well copying saved game data and saved data from devhook(like ur internet connections, bookmarks, ect.) doesn't flash ur psp so it's 100% safe and won't harm ur psp

hes spot on - there are no risks or dangers as we can emulate fully 2.71 and in devhook it makes your psp act like a 2.71 including the saves so...anyway even in 1.5 the saves are recognised so you wont have any bother - just thought i would add that little info in.
