View Full Version : Original Resolution and Aspect Ratio for 2D Games, is it possible?

Everyone knows that this is how the Dreamcast renders 2D games: stretched, distorted, and ugly. Like this:

But I was wondering: Is there a way to make the Dreamcast render 2D games with a corrected aspect ratio in order to match the game's original resolution? Something like this:

I would appreciate it very much, because I have a lot of 2D games for the Dreamcast, and I don't like playing them with distorted graphics...

Sorry Doc, it's not that easy.
But I'm pretty sure these guys can find a way to do it...

All right, I found this out:

The Dreamcast's resolution is 640x480. Street Fighter Alpha 3's native resolution is 384x224. Can I resize the video to that resolution in some way? If I can, could you show me how?
