Well what a night, when i got home from work i thought the server was playing up but DS69 informed me that we had been hacked by some iranian hackers, thankfully tonight for the first time in ages Martin our server admin was on the scene, he was actually sorting out Emu64 but fixed the damage done by the hackers and secured the site fully. So a big thanks to Martin for coming our aid.

Edit by Darksaviour69: Just to make it clear it wasn't a proper hack, they never got access to the database or any of our users info. There was an exploit in the VB Arcade (that is now disabled). A "hacker" therefore was able to insert a script that redirected the site to some other site.

Secondly for those of you who have followed Emulation for years im sure you have noticed the sad demise of many of the worlds biggest and best Emulation sites, well tonight work has started on bringing Emulation 64 back to its oldself with lots of news and a much needed forum update.

For those who dont know Emulation 64 and Emutalk are sister sites to DCEmu and theres a wealth of knowledge in the forums that no other site has.

Check them out here --> http://www.emutalk.net/index.php? & http://www.emulation64.com/

Yeah i was on the site around 19:08 UK time and all was well but by 19:12 i started seeing that hacked by Ashiyane page, i did a google search and they don't seem to be the malicious kind of hackers.

Cheers wraggy :)

For those who are interested the hack exploit (through the arcade add-on of this forum) has been fixed so we should be safe now. :D

For anyone who is curious about it, I captured a shot of this and what we saw for that brief period of time. There was also a "soundbite" of what I assume was the Iranian national anthem, or something similar:-
