DS modding noob

Hey can someone let me know everything there is to know about ds modding. I basically want to know what kind of roms I'd be able to play if I did it, what kind of cool homebrew are there, and what exactly do I need to get to do it. Thanks

Well , you can play nearly all the roms if you mod your DS .
What you need to do is order a flashcart and a microSD card .
Install the frimware and copy the roms onto the microSD , everything would be ready .

I recommend a site : slickgate.com , they would do everything for you except copy the roms ( do it yourself ).

There are hundreds of flashcarts in the market , the acekard 2i (http://www.slickgate.com/acekard-2i-ak2i-141-compatible-for-3dsnds-litendsindsi-xl_p1800.html) and supercard dstwo (http://www.slickgate.com/supercard-dstwo-for-3ds-nds-lite-ndsi-ndsi-xl-v141-compatible_p1323.html) are the top ones , don't touch any r4 brand .
