hi, i havnt used dreamcast in several years so forgot everything. i can burn .cdi images ok, but what i want to do is build a mame cd image, using the latest mame version which i have downloaded already (it is all ready with the 1st_read.bin, ip.bin, etc), and i have the mame roms ready too, and a dummy file, etc..

the problem is i dont know how to build a self booting dreamcast cd image. i dont know where to start and i did look around the net but a lot of the old help/tutorial links are dead so i cant use them.

maybe someone could give a noobie step by step of how i would make the cd image plz?

EDIT: i did just check out the sticky: 'How to create and/or burn a Dreamcast disc in 5 minutes' and then i tried bootdreams... i am still a bit confused as to the settings i need to use in bootdreams. perhaps someone could check the pic below and tell me if where the red arrows are pointing, the settings are correct for the mame cd?

and when i have the image, i burn with discjuggler using the settings below and thats it? (hmm i think some of the settings are wrong somewhere, can anyone confirm plz.....) EDIT: im happy to do it another way instead of a .cdi image if anyone has any ideas.. eg i could use nero etc instead? or something else...?

Build the image with the default BootDreams settings. If you've changed them, delete the config, and start over. The only thing I might change is to add a dummy file (700MB option).

Burn the CDI with IMGBurn. It'll ask you for the Padus dll, so just copy it from the BootDreams tools folder to the IMGBurn directory.
