Hi,
I just bought my PSP and it's a TA-082 model (ic1003 is written) with firmware 2.6.
I want to downgrade it and put Dgen on it, I have a 512mb memory stick. Anyone can help?
- How do I downgrade it? To 1.0 and to 1.5 or directly 1.5??
- Will I need eloader or something like that?
I'm totally new to the PSP (bought it for emus and GTA) and I'd like a little support from those of you who followed the scene for a while. You guys have a great forum and community, and I hope I'll be here more often now. Thanks to those who help !!!

return it and ask for a used one, it should help with finding a psp without that motherboard and the downgrade should be a easy task

There has been a successful TA-082 downgrade! It's still very beat and not open to the public though....

What about Eloader? Yeah I have GTA, I only want to run homebrew. Can I do it now?

Help us Ookm, your our only hope.lol
Looks like you stuck using some kind of eloader.
Your homebrew availability will be limited to user mode apps I believe.

If you have 2.6 or lower, yes. There's a better one coming soon though. :)

The eloader doesn't have support for kernel mode, no?
I've never used it I have a 1.5.
I say your best bet is to trade it in for a downgradable one.

The current eLoader doesn't have kernal mode.

Well, with that said go for the trade.
At least thats my opinion, the other alternative is to use what homebrew is available in user mode and to have patience.

As NoQuarter said, your options are:
Wait it out....
Trade....
