Xenoblade Chronicles is, after a long wait, arriving in UK next Friday August19, while US is yet to get confirmation of a release at all. But that might change if all goes well in Europe, it seems.
Nintendo America boss Reggie Fils-Aime has said NOA is 'watching very closely' at how the game is received east of the Atlantic.

"We will be watching very closely what happens in Europe," he told IGN. "Certainly if there are business opportunities and positive consumer uptake from some of those titles, that will be great data for us to consider as we look at what to do with these titles," speaking broadly of the 'Operation Rainfall' games of which Xenoblade is one.

It's far from the confirmation that fans are looking for, but it is acknowledgement that the epic RPG is still under consideration at Nintendo US.

For now you'll just have to hope that the Nintendo customer services guy who reportedly said, and re-confirmed, that the game was 'definitely' headed to US (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/309041/xenoblade-confirmed-for-us-release/) turns out to be true.

Nintendo EU has meanwhile begun posting lengthy gameplay videos ahead of the launch next week (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/314816/nintendo-demos-xenoblade-chronicles-in-10-minute-video/).
