In your humble opinion whats the best one, has to be fairytale of newyork for me!

The best one would undoubtedly be a traditional carol, but as a contemporary alternative I'd have to go with Greg Lake's 'I Believe in Father Christmas'. The use of the 'Sleigh Ride' (Troika) from Lieutenant Kije by Sergei Prokofiev in a modern form was a masterstroke, couple that with some nice guitar work, well written and sung lyrics and you've got a classic (albeit modern classic). As for where the video was filmed and under the (then) current climate was a stroke of genius (if not lunacy), it's amazing anyone got out to record any more music, but that's another story.
