I 've recently downgraded my PSP from 2.71 to 1.5. And now i can't use internet browser which i used on previous firmware.
So i 've installed devhook which can load 2.71 firmware and allow me to use internet browser. I installed devhook with easy pc installer from BOOSTER (ver. 0.46) In the installation menu said in first row ''install devhook 0.46 with 2.71 firmware'' When the installation was succesfully completed I want to try to load 2.71 firmware for internet browser.

And my question is:
When i click devhook (and then in devhook menu) what should i click to run 2.71 firmware??? it's nothin there in connection with this

thx for ur help!

Johni It's a good idea to install the return to 1.50 option too. It saves you having to hard reset your psp every time you want to leave DevHook.

Thanks for the back-up, guys.
PSPfan, why do you change your clock settings to 112/222? I leave mine on 333.

I find it better on 333, it seems faster. But I think the battery runs down quicker. But when I'm at work I charge it anyway. And play on it too. My job f'n rules!!

You keep a PSP at work. now that's cool!. I wouldn't dream of keeping one at my office. Too many people in and out when I'm not there.

so now when everything is installed i run the devhook then in its menu click on ''START'' or ''UMD SELECT'' or anything else?
and DEJKIRKBY that is already (if i'm right) in installation (in the menu where i can run devhook., in the line abbove--> it says ''return to 1.50 from FW2.xx'')
no need to install manually thx for reminding me anyway;)

JohnI when all your setting are correct you click on START. And trust me you do need to install the Return to 1.50 from the Ultimate Installer. Once you press START you cannot return to the DevHook menu without either hard resetting or using the part of the program mentioned.

But it is correct that when i push start the psp turns itself off and when i turn it on everything is like it was before (no changes)??

Yes i know that i need for returning FW to previous such thing, but i was only saying that i got it with installing with devhook 0.46

Seriously, if you haven't loaded the Return from 1.50 from the ultimate Installer you haven't got it on your psp Trust me. When you have loaded DevHook and it looks like it has reset just check the FW. What does it say.

in the menu where i can choose devhook (XBM-->game-->memory stick-->return to 1.5 from 2.xx) it exist on my psp that line...i hope that is what i need for returning fw

....and i verified FW version it's still 1.5!

what should it happend when i push button start? (should psp restart itself, return to XBM menu ?)

thx for help

On the DevHook top menu The settings i have are:
TARGET: (reboot XMB)
UMD-FILE:
UMD-MODE: UMD Disc, Ver. 2.xx to 2.00
FW Path: ms):/dh/271(MS HOOK)
CLOCK: 333/166

I then press circle and my psp reboots to DevHook.

aha i had different CLOCK settings. I've tried on 222/111 but it happend what i said earlier (psp shuts down)

why do i have to have it on 333/111 to work? cause now it's working and that ''returner'' also do his job thx dejkirkby.

i have also another question. When i emulate (with devhook) firmware to 2.71 can i change any settings in there (in 2.71) i mean my name, theme etc

dejkirkby

You can change your name. But to change your theme You copy the dh/271 folder to your computer and alter the one on your psp with ThemePSP. The good thing is that DevHook doesn't write to flash so if it messes up. You can just copy the file back from your computer.

aha ok thx. But can anyone still tell me why can I play (devhook) on 222/111 clock and only on 333/111 (this was its default settings)?

That cool. Thanks PSP fan.
Johni I've tried it on all the CPU clock settings. All mine seem to work but with different speeds obviously. Maybe you could try re-installing your devhook.

I've reinstalled it...two times. And now works on al cpu clocks. I don't know what was the problem the first two times but it works in the third now. Thank u for all the help u gave me so far.

Which emu do u suggest for gba roms? I want to play golden sun again and mario (good times)

thx

The only decent running GBA emu is gpSP. The latest version is on the front page. You need the GBA bios though as it is illegal to distribute i think (not too sure though). Google for GBA bios.
