My Xbox Case Mod

Well, now that I have a 360 i decided to grow a pair and tear apart my original xbox. I am going to be putting it in a computer case basicly. But, this is a lot harder than it sounds, with the length of the cables being very limited, and the xbox motherboard needing custom mounting holes because it is not a computer standard mobo. So far i have the power supply mounted and the dvd drive and hard drives mounted, now I am going to be working on the motherboard. After that, I will be taking everything out, painting the case black, installing a window on the side (in which i will cut out the original "X" from the top of the xbox case and installing that in the center of the window with led rope lights around it) and installing a lot of lights, cathodes, etc. It will be extremely bada$$. wish me luck, i will be posting pictures once it is complete.

Wow, it is looking really awesome now that I got my parts today. Now i am jsut waiting on some acrylic-clear and acrylic-black plastic. It looks really awesome tho people, just you wait. (Oh yeah, gonna need some cold cathodes. :)

No offence it looks great. But i thought it was going to be something more then a led and new case. But thumbs up i like it heck i have the same withe box but mi led is orange.:D

old thread, but im posting anyways. nice stuff, im gonna do the same to mine with an old emachine case. i'll add 4 usb ports, headphone jack, VGA-out, and a possible 2nd hard drive. im adding lights without a doubt, i plan on replacing a piece of the case top so you can see the modded disk drive(modded so that you can see the disk spinning). as soon as i can get some cables and enough parts to start work, i'll get to it.
