loading devhook at 333mhz has been known to cause problems, load at 222 and then change the speed to 333 when the XMB has loaded,

if thats not the problem explain more and other people may be to help

333 mhz is a faster clock speed, meaning things are processed faster. It isn't the clock speed Sony made the firmware for, however, so it can sometimes screw things up in the XMB...

does it make the gameplay faster

Well, yeah. Everything is processed faster, making games nicer looking, less load times, etc...

some games are better at normal speed but anyway seem better and faster and so on

The game isn't acutally faster, the loading times and stuff are. Also, the games won't look as "pixely" (GTA: LCS is a perfect example).

\/ No problem. ;)
