well first of all it's not the new golden fw...yet, first they need to be iron out the UMD's not working(only a few from what i hear), then they need some add-ons for the custom fw...then it will be greater or equal to having a 1.5(depends on how u look at it)

It is the new goldan fimeware i reapeat its the new goldan firmware......Only problems with it come from comeplete idiots who dont know how to turn on the psp besides installing new stuff to it!

2.71 will never be the new golden firmware as itll always need an exploit to run homebrew

2.71 SE however could very well end up being the best firmware ever. considering everything that i want works on it (except for 1 UMD as BL8Z3D247 pointed out) i see no point in staying at 1.50 and having to devhook evey time i want to play commercial games/use newer features

I'm definitively sticking with 2.71 SE!

Every stuff I tested worked perfectly.

The few Titles reported not working (I didn't test), are games I don't like. Luky me! :)

Rev B will bring all that you're missing from 1.50 cfw, I hope.

yea itd be nice to autoboot irshell like 1.5 could, but does a few seconds really make that much of a difference, and as for the extra prx loading, mp3xmb would also be nice to get back but no too much of a bother right now

2.71SE-B will be the golden firmware.

2.71SE-A is a nice taste of gold :)

first u spell golden with a "e" not a "a" well it is in the UK anyway....
im gona stay with my 1.5
coz it rocks.
and most developers make the homebrew so it fits on 1.5 and sometimes it works on others,

all homebrew written for 1.50 works on 2.71 se-a...i still dont understand why ppl think it doesnt have full compatibility :/

in fact its BETTER as you dont have to worry about k-xploiting anything!
