Like the look of it? There is a guide here (http://www.engadget.com/2006/10/10/how-to-analog-control-stick-for-your-sony-psp/) on how to do it.

It'd be better if the whole PS2 controller was controlling the PSP. Especially if you were to make an adapter so that you could remove the controller easily and switch back to the PSP's built in game pad.

Yes, this Mod is great...gotta give Ben props...But somebody has gone a step further and Modified this Mod to convenience...Check it out.

What I'd like to know is if it would be possible to map the PSP's controls to one of those PC "Playstation-like" controllers that are mainly used for PC games and emulators... and have it plugged to that second USB port that this guy made. Would it actually work?

It isn't really a usb port, it just uses a USB port for a connection as it is small enough to fit in the space.

Technically though, it is possible to connect all the contacts on the PSP and get different controllers into it, but not a normal usb adapter. Personally, I wouldn't mind a PSP to PS2 controller adapter.

I saw another setup like this on youtube.
Where the white strap or cable u can see on the pic is a usb port that this guy added to his psp, then the joystick plugs in to that port.
