why did sony release 2 types of motherboards. the TA-082 and the standard one that most people have?

ta-082 is an attempt to thwart downgrading. the ta-082 motherboard is not compatible with firmware 1.50 so you can't downgrade and run pirated software. I guess that was sonys intention

also, as a note, there are more than 2 types of motherboard, and as soon as TA-082 is cracked, well see TA-083 motherboards, that will be similar to TA-082s (like non degradeable) but will be different (to make any TA-082 downgraders brick the TA-083 PSPs) and look like motherboards that can be degraded (so people will not know if they can degrade or not, well thats what i recon sony will do)
