It's been a long, long time since I posted console hardware sales stats from old Japan but anyway here are the latest set of figures. This covers sales between December 5th to 11th of last week:
Nintendo 3DS: 350,321
Playstation Portable: 51,191
Nintendo Wii: 46,018
Playstation 3: 44,661
Nintendo DSi XL: 4,007
Microsoft Xbox 360: 3,211
Nintendo DSi: 2,609
Playstation 2: 1,268
Nintendo DS Lite: 14
Wow, it's astounding that the PS2 is still selling out there. Perhaps Sony is still making new ones? Or perhaps it's used sales, I don't know. DS Lite, that used to sell hundreds of thousands each week, now it's a low of 14. No surprise though, the 3DS is the latest today and could sell more if more good games for it continue to come in.
