I love the 2.71 SE-A cause well... it's sexy. I haven't had any problems playing any of my hombrwed games on it =\. I never did no memory dump for it to install it though and it works fine...

if he updated to 2.71SE-A and can't use the recovery mode, then the poor guy is stuck there, because 2.71 SE-A can't be updated. If you try to update it will just give you an error.

lol, lets help the poor guy heres a little walkthrough
1) go to www.dax.st
2) download "2.71 Special Edition - Revision A custom firmware"

now for a choice
A) Degrade to 1.50
or
B) Get DevHook working

A) Degrade
3) Copy the "RECOVERY" folder from inside "files for recovery"
4) Put this folder inside the "GAME" folder on your memory stick
5) get the 1.50 update eboot and rename it to update.pbp
6) put the update.pbp file inside the "RECOVERY" folder
7) turn your PSP off, then hold R and turn your PSP on
8) choose the option that says run eboot at ms0:/psp/game/recovery/ebbot.pbp (or something like that)
9) press X, and wait while your psp degrades itself

turn off your PSP, turn on and it should be 1.50

B) DevHook
3) Copy the folders inside "devhook271 flash fix"
4) put these folder in your memory stick root
5) get the 1.50 update eboot and extract the data.pspr file using a tool like PSPBrew
6) put the data.pspr file in the root of your memory stick
7) copy folders from "dh_fw_installer" (link (http://www.zshare.net/download/dh_fw_installer-zip.html))
8) put these folders inside the "GAME150" folder on your memory stick
9) run the devhook firmware installer from the XMB
10) wait for firmware installer to finish
11) run devhook from XMB
12) set it up to run firmware 1.50, then hit start

devhook emulation should work now
