Hi all, I'm new to the forums and PSP homebrew. I know you guys hate new people who don't know anything about the topic but I have to ask. I've searched these forums for answers to my questions but to be honest I just don't know where to start. I have also tried to PM specific members based on the posts they have made in an attempt to gain more knowledge before downgrading my PSP but the site won't let me PM.

I have read a little about the TIFF exploit thread and I would like somebody to explain what to do and what exactly it is. Anyways, I just bought a 2.60 PSP (TA-082) and I am looking to run emulators via homebrew. Unfortunately I do not know if it is possible, what to get and what order to do things. If somebody could find me a tutorial or a step by step instructional with information about which programs to use and what order to use them it would be greatly appreciated.

Again, I'm sorry to bother you guys with such a beginner topic but I have no idea what I'm doing here and I don't want a bricked PSP. If I have to return it since it's a TA-082 then please let me know.

You cant downgrade as you have ta-082 you best chance is to update to 2.71 and use this http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/psp-eloaders-37415.html

and here i a port of devhook for 2.71 users http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/psp-eloaders-36917.html
