Hi guys I was wondering if you could help me, I've looked through a few of the stickies and I think I get the general gist but I've got a few questions.

I've got a max media dock and CF card, thats working fine and dandy for watching films/music

But I'm not sure how I would go about playing GBA/SNES games etc. Would I just need to download an emulator and then put the roms on my CF and away I go. Or do I need to buy card to go in the NDS game slot?

Don't suppose anyone could recommend a good emulator for GBA/SNES to use on my MMD.

thanks alot.

I don't know much about DS homebrew but I can tell you this, you should'nt have brought the MMD, they suck, very limited compatability.

Snes emu's are still slow as hell (I think)
You don't need a GBA emu, DS's play GBA games nativley.

I take it an MMD is some sort of flash card running device that can play games as well as video and mp3s ? I wouldnt have thought you would need an emulator for GBA games since the DS can run them normally? Try putting your saved GBA game straight onto the device (or inserting a real GBA game if the device has the correct slot?).. I can't find any SNES emulators for the DS yet at a playable level unless you include the ones available for the GBA (I think pocketSNES or SNESadvance can play a very small number of titles at full speed, cant remember which)... Snes advance has a list of playable games on their website...

more emulators you should be able to run on your DS: http://www.gameboy-advance.net/gba_roms/emulated_on_gba.htm

One of the only other format running emulators I can find for the DS at the moment is Scummvm, which can run Lucasarts back cataogue of point and click pc adventure games if you have any.. http://scummvm.drunkencoders.com/
If you like running around after monsters lol Ive just found a (freeware!) DS copy of Doom you should be able to run, which you can also supposedly play online using wifi, over here: http://dsdoom.devkitpro.org/

yeah the MMD is a platform which connects the flash card to the DS. It doesn't seem like there's many good emulators around for the MMD. Hope I didn't buy the wrong thing....
