my friend sold me his nds for 50$ so he can buy some new cloth.

After reading through many websites and reviews i got a bit understand of wats out there. but i got a few questions

why do u need to flash ur nds?
wat is the passcard for?
do i need to flash my ds or get a passcard for the media player + SD to work?

So how do i run backup NDS and GBA games? im not askin for the roms themself but a way to run them.

You don't need to flash your DS, but it's easier if you do. You can use a passcard instead. (Although you need a passcard to flash your DS...) The passcard will run the GBA cart in DS mode.

What do you mean by media player? Which one?

If you get the ds-xtreme like monaug5 said I'm pretty sure you don't need a passcard or flashing.
