this is just a question I'm not coder so no flaming

1)is it possible to partition the nand flash into two?, one half is 1.50 and the other is the latest update and we could press R or something to boot it

2)could some one not just create a nand flash emulator

To be honest with you, multi flash is old news now. 2.71SE-B' is the new golden firmware, running 1.50 homebrew and up to V2.71 umd games.

All the pros of 1.50 and none of the cons..

It probably isn't possible to partition the nand flash memory on the PSP to have 2 offical firmwares because there's no space for them. There's only 32MB in the flash and a firmware dump of, say, 2.71 is about 20MB and 1.50 still is about 15MB . Also, the IPL has to be rewritten which is probably hard to code properly to make that work, so you're out of luck anyway.

will 2.71SE-B be able to run 2.82 devhook
The infamous 1.50 will be able to of course

I believe Booster is working on nand flash emulation so maybe in the future that will emerge and no new devhooks will be needed. I seem to remember that on one of his releases he had a to do list and that was included. As for partitioning the NAND flash itself, as someone else already said there wouldn't be enough space unless you could make it to read zipped files which would be way too much work.

hmm if just someone would make an alternative flash for us that has 200 mbs we could make a super firmware:D
