Oh thats an update pbp

ok I have never downgraded my psp as its original 1.5 heres a few links for downgraders

Downgrader for 2.5 and 2.6
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=27932

Easy downgrader 2.50/2.60
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=28181

2.50/2.60 TIFF Downdater via Eloader
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=36899

Generic Downgrader for 2.71
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=38119&highlight=generic

All 2.5-2.6 downgraders dont give u cleam firmwares so u need to update to 2.0 then back to 1.5

2.5-2.6 downgrader requires GTA umd unpatched except for tiff downgrader

as for 2.71 generic downgrader it is said to be safe and doesnt require anything but u need to update to 2.71

I attached an image of ta-82 motherboard I suggest u go for 2.71 generic downgrader because it gives u clean firmware no more downgrading

techgt
October 31st, 2006, 05:40
make a folder call UPDATE in the game folder and put the file in it also make sure u charge your battery and also have it plug in still ... so u don't have the ta-082 board then ...

the way you use homebrew on the 1.5 is easy. Make sure that your homebrew (that you downloaded from either this site or another respectable PSP site) is kxploited, meaning that it has two folders one being "hombrewname" and the other "homebrewname%" or "_SCE_homebrewname" and "_SCE_%homebrewname" either will work (please note that the folders DO NOT have to be named homebrewname, that was an example). Now all you do is put the folders in the PSP GAME folder located at:

x:\PSP\GAME.

Where X is the drive letter that the computer gives your PSP. Then just load the homebrew through the Game Menu on the XMB. Its that easy.

you will also need devhook

forget kxploitied folders....install "2.71 se-b" firmware and run virtualy anything.

Install custom firmware on 1.5 and that will run anything

henC is built in thus being permenant(u don't need to install :)), for homebrew download games/apps for 1.5 and put in GAME150(u need to make this folder in the "PSP" folder), once u have put some homebrew in the GAME150 folder go to the XMB(main psp screen) and go to game>memory stick>and pick ur homebrew :D hope this helps

gotitatcost
November 1st, 2006, 07:55
so i dont need to install hen-b if i have 2.71se-b right
i tried it
it didn't work i put it in like this psp>game150>SNES9XTYL and it didn't work it says there are no games
help

thats because original psp read games from game folder not game150 but u can revert it with the advance option in recovery menu but if u are using se-b u dont need hen-c unless u are running 271F with devhook but alot of homebrews dont work

gotitatcost
November 2nd, 2006, 01:36
how do i know if im using 271F?? does it have devhook folder in the zip file? and what is devhook?

tuta
November 2nd, 2006, 06:10
1stly do you have reverse devhook?
If u have launch devhook and select firmware->271F thats all

Devhook is a homebrew to emulate firmwares like 1.5 being able to emulate 2.71 and currently dats the highest but 2.81 is rumoured to be in the making

now that you are now in 2.71 se-b so there is no point for you to use henC unless u have prx homebrews(Homebrews specially for 2.71)

when i want to run homebrew i go to xmb (home screen) then game then memory stick, but when i open mem stick it freezes

tuta
November 2nd, 2006, 09:07
that is because u do not have a ISO folder at the root of ur memory stick because se-b update has a native umd emulation but the problem is fixed in se-B'
