View Full Version : Need help choosing a flash card for ds

I've got a ds and I've been doing some research into what would be the best flash card and passcard (or whatever they're called on the ds) and at the moment it seems like the ezflash iv lite is the best solution.
(I am only basing this on info I have found. Info on cards seems to be scattered around the internet and may be outdated)
But the I also found the supercard and it seems to get pretty good reviews, but I don't really know what solution to go for, or if ultimately there is any real difference. (my differentiation between the card that goes in the gba slot and the card that goes in the ds slot is kind of fuzzy at the moment.

Another problem is that I live in the uk. From information it seems that SupercardUK is the best site to buy cards but I don't quite understand the order page.

For the cart labelled micro sd and priced at £37.99 do I get both the card and cart? Or is it only the cart that goes into the gba slot and would mean i would need to buy a passkey as well

If anyone could help me then this would be very helpful. I'm sorry too if you get asked this question all the time though.
Thanks in advance

i would get an M3 or Supercard.

If you have an original DS then get the M3 Slim SD (http://www.realhotstuff.com/slim-passcard-sandisk-minisd-minisdmmc-reader-p-92.html)

If you have a DS Lite then get either the M3 Lite (http://www.realhotstuff.com/lite-passcard-kingston-microsd-p-126.html) or
the Supercard Lite (http://www.realhotstuff.com/lite-superkey-kingston-microsd-reader-p-129.html).

Thanks. I'll probably get a supercard lite. Anyone got any other opinions or an answer to my question about the shop?

I believe forum member acidburn05 recommends the supercard and hombrew hunter recommends the m3.
Apologies if I am invoking their names but acidburn recommended the supercard to me and I've seen homebrew hunter speak of the m3.
This dsxtreme is also of interest as it is an all in one solution but the memory size is rather small(512 megabytes). My statements are not from personal experience though,as I have not bought one....yet.
I know acidburn05 owns several of these devices so he may be the one to ask.

Sorry... Normally I hate piggy backing off someone elses post... But I recently invested 150+ dollars in a GBAMP v2, Superkey, 2 SD card... Will the Super Card SD (http://www.realhotstuff.com/supercard-sd-p-51.html) work with the Super Key (http://www.realhotstuff.com/superkey-p-77.html), Or should I invest the extra money and go for A Lite (http://www.realhotstuff.com/lite-kingston-microsd-p-128.html)? mX is out because of how bad they burned users with GBAMP v2 SD, They won't get anymore of my money.

Supercard ftw. m3 is nice too and it really comes down to which ever design you want.

Yea I read that... wasn't sure if it meant that it would not work in a GBA... or GBA files wouldn't run on it... either way it's not a big deal...

I read on a few different pages that it would execute GBA files.
