View Full Version : No SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2 online for 1.5 DevHookers?

I got SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2, and on my 1.5 PSP I can play it using the 2.XX to 2.00 trick on DevHook so I don't have to update the PSP. However, to play online, I have to download an update and install it, but the update says I can only update on 2.81.
So, if I wanted to go online on SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2, I'd have to update! I can't be doing that, so it really sucks, because the first game had such awesome multiplayer, and the second game promises even better multiplayer, especially with customizeable players.
Is there any way I can get past this update problem without having to update my PSP, or am I doomed to no SFB2 online play?

I have to download an update and install itis the update an eboot, cause then you could try Dark_AleX's decripter test, rename the param to a lower firmware version, then run it with HenC, might work

I know it works with GTA for definate. But you need a few devhook updates.

The only way sadly is to rip it, then replace the WIFI.I forgot, with the one from number 1, then I promice it will work.

Oh, i see your signature, TA082, balls, I cant help you with ripping as it is illegal. Sadly that is the only way to do it though.

Of course DevHook runs UMDs. That's the whole great thing about it!

Y'know, using X-Flash, you can change the version of a 1.5 PSP to be version 9.99. It's fake, but it fools games into starting.
Using DevHook, I emulate version 2.71 on my 1.5 PSP. Is there a way into changing the 2.71 firmware so that it thinks it's a higher version (like 9.99), even though it wouldn't really be? If I could set the version of the 2.71 firmware to be a higher number, then I gaurantee SFB2 would work online.

So, repeating my question, is there a way to change the version number of the emulated 2.71 firmware?
