I just bought me a psp gigapack with a 1 gig duo stick a game called "the hustle" its a pool game which is alright, and all the other accessories. I bought the white japanese version because theres alot of japanese games i wanna buy for it such as the gundam games because im a big fan of gundam, but i need to know the essential programs and stuff i need to download to get GBA, Genesis, and SNES emulators working on my PSP.

Psp games are region free they work on any psp, so you could have just bought a normal psp and used gundam on that.

Oh man, SNES Emulation is so wicked with the PSP! First man, u're gonna need to find out which version of PSP u have, It's best to have a 1.5 (Some people say 2.71 SE-B, but forget those people.) If you have 1.5, go get SNES TYL 0.42me and put that on ur PSP using a USB cable that you have to buy. Can't go into much more detail, just look around this site and u'll probably find what u need.
Have a blast with the SNES Emu man!

You are wrong U can stil play umd games either with devhook or 2.71se custom firmware but u need a 1.5 psp to do that.U can even play 2.80+(aslong they dun use 2.8+features) on ur 2.71se psp.

Forget those people? 2.71SE is pretty much a 1.5 PSP without the need for devhook, which is definately better in my opinion as well as others. Plus, we have the ability to play games over the 2.71 requirement. Sure beats having just a 1.5 w/devhook (any version). Learn your sh*t before talking like that.

C0R3F1GHT3R, just be sure that you have a downgradeable version so that you can do anything you want with the PSP. You can stay at 1.5 or go to 2.71SE-B3, it's all up to you what you'd like to do, they both do the same things, just the newer doesn't need certain things to do them.

There is a modchip, if you're willing to dish out $100 US. (At least I think it's that much)

lol i did buy my psp from ebay actually... for 250$ with a gig stick, but from what i heard about lag with emulators and all i think ill stick with capcoms game packs and the real games out for psp, because i hate lag... I found a modchip too, but they said it wont work for a TA-082 mobo. I have faith in the coders for homebrew to "fix" the problem with the 2.8 and ta-082.

True modchip doesnt work for TA-082 and there wont be another downgrader for TA-082 in a long time

I thought the UP team was putting some research into building a newer one for that mobo.
