Okay i dont want to spread some riddiculous gossip but psp updates claims that a ps2 emulator is going to be released very soon by demon seed. Now i dont know if its even possible but i thought id throw it out there. And would psone games be playable on a ps2 emulator since ps2 has backwards compatibility.

wait did they say a ps2 emulator will be released for the pc or the psp.......... if they say psp now there just being rediculus

heh thats like saying theirs gonna be a Dreamcast emulator for the Game Gear, it will NEVER happen!

okay they closed the post so if a mod sees this they should probably close this one too i just thought it was funny but if they removed it they probably know its gonna cause contraversey

The PSP is actually more powerful than the PS2, but they differ in graphics rendering and the PSP has the MIPS CPU. that's what i've heard, anyway.

but it cant emulate it. we cant even do ps1 very well.

There will NEVER be a PS2 emulator on the PSP capable of playing games anywhere near a usable speed.

oh and ps2 IS stronger than psp. psp may be capable of running a higher clock speed(333mhz) than a ps2(294mhz) but the ps2 also has a separate graphics processor that runs at 150 mhz. Imagine the PSP as a PC with a 3.0 ghz processor and onboard video, and the PS2 as a PC with a 2.8 GHz processor and a Radeon 9800. The PC with the graphic card with perform way better for games, with more graphical features (like pixel shading etc). PSP PS2 EMU... IMPOSSIBLE!!! STOP TALKING ABOUT IT!!!!

If that is possible, I will keep using my PSP for ever!!!!!But it aint, so don't get your hopes up.:(

i tought the 2 cpus to be somehow binary compatible... but anyway that would be a hell of task without MASSIVE work. and the results can't be so good anyway...
