When I try to load a ROM in mvpsp, I keep getting the error message -

Loading "201-s1.bin"
Could not allocate memory for sprite data.
Try to use sprite cache...
ERROR: File not found or CRC32 not correct. "spr_usage (spr pen usage)"
Press any button.

I am using a fw2.8 PSP, so could this be a problem with there not being any kernel access? I'm using the non-kernel version of mvpsp, so I didn't think that would be a problem.

Did you make the cache file?
If you did, then it must be because of fw version. You'll have to wait for the downgrader to come out.

It's probably because I didn't make a cache file. How do you do this? The readme just shows the location and the name of the file, but doesn't say how you actually make the file.

Nevermind, I found the converter. Thanks for your help!

In the last version of the mvspsp emu, SvC Chaos (MVC) rom was working fine. Now, using the Psp Slim edition of the emu, I get this exact same error. I did recreate the cache file, although the other games work fine without doing this.
