Is it possible to rip individual sounds from games? I was trying to get the voice of Otacon out of metal gear solid sons of liberty when he says, "Snake? Quit playing around. Snake?! Snake!!!!!!"

That's not really an answer. But it's ok, your post count went up.

That's a good idea but I was looking for something a little more efficient and a way of just getting it right out of the disc.

This might be a long-shot, but have you tried exploring the files on the disc through the DVD drive in your computer?

When I did this with GTA3, I managed to get the radio stations copied off the disc in .vob format and then conveterted to .wav with MFAudio (http://www.zophar.net/utilities/ps2util.html)

All I find is these files in .DAT format. I dont't have a clue as to what to do with them.
