I got this yesterday and it is seriously awesome. I haven't played any of the other games in the series but I remember some TV program that used the engine to replay historical battles. I always wanted to check it out after seeing that program and this game is awesome. I'm not really into RTS (well, played dune2 back in the day) and this game has me in fits of insane laughter as I play god on the battle field and slaughter hundreds of enemies.

It's amazing to zoom in on a unit of troops and watch them all move differently..it's not just a copy and paste job with all those troops. It truely is breathtaking at times.
