Well this guy Fearin posted this:

HOW TO INSTALL THE EMULATOR AND PLAY PS1 GAMES

This Tutorial is written for people using Dark Alex's 2.71 SE firmware. If you dont have it, why not? its the best for homebrew. note you cannot run 2.71 SE on a TA psp.

YOU CANNOT USE PS1P IF YOU HAVE FIRMWARE 3.00 OR 3.01
YOU WILL HAVE A HARD TIME IF YOUR MEMORY STICK IS LESS THAN 1GB

1. Download the emulator files from page one of this thread

2.Search google for 'SCPH1001.BIN', or find a tutorial on how to dump the bios from your own playstation (hard)

3.Download Clone CD.

4.insert a playstation disk to your computer.

5.start up Clone CD, click 'try it' at the dialog that pops up. you should see 2 windows, one with buttons, one with text.

6.Click 'Read image to file', the one with a CD and some glasses.

7.Right click in the white area, and click new. Name it PSX or something.

8.select PSX you just made and click next. click browse and choose a location to extract to (I use desktop)

9.Click ok and let it run. this may take a while. You want to use the .img file at the end.

10.OK. you should have the following:
- __SCE__psp1p (folder)
- %__SCE__psp1p% (folder)
- SCPH1001.BIN
- YourGame.IMG

11.Put the .BIN file and the .IMG file inside the __SCE__psp1p folder.

12.Put the __SCE__psp1p folder and %__SCE__psp1p% folder on your psp under:
[DRIVE]/PSP/GAME150

13.on the psp menu, goto GAME>MEMORY STICK>PS1P

14.when it starts up press circle to play your game.

Dont forget,
-NOT ALL GAMES WORK
-THERE WILL NOT BE ANY SOUND
-POST YOUR RESULTS (and thanks) HERE TO HELP OTHERS

Thats very good^^^ but Heres my alternative way of ripping,

installed the emu etc
Then got a program called
"ISO producer"
google it.
then get the bios get it of google or a P2P or rip it yourself
Then insert your PSX disc and use these settings on ISO producer:

Then put the Bios and the game into the emu folder without %
The game can be .ISO .IMG .BIN I think.
I use .iso

These are 2 great ways to rip the games etc, But i preffer using ISO Producer

JKK how would i go about ripping it with alcohol120? some help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

1. pop the CD in your drive. if you want to make a subchannel file, make sure your drive can read subchannels.

2. see on the left where it has the big button that says "Image Making Wizard"? well, we're making an Image, so click.

3. See down there where it says "Datatype"? select "playstation". this automatically checks the right settings.

4. this is important. pick somewhere to save it, and make sure to name it. under Image Format, pick CloneCD Image File (.ccd)

5. just click Start and it makes it.

Pocket Iso it compressed it to x and znx format.

not necessarily. I think you can dramatically reduce the size by replacing the video files (strl) with blank ones.

^ Iunno much about it but you may want to look into it
