I found this BG on the net. I t came in a bunch of different colors. I changed one to black. This looks kinda like the PS3 XMB. Only thing is, it needs to be flashed (as opposed to just setting it as my background) on my 2.71 SE-C or the wavy lines won't show in front of it. Anyways with the release of X Flash 16g, flashing aint a prob. But apparently, the dimensions need to be 60 x 34 (as a 24 bit bmp) When I try reducing the size in paint, it destorts it. Maybe someone with Photoshop could be kind enough to resize it so it still looks good. Me and I'm sure many others would appreciate it. :D

Any chance you got photoshop? Or is it possible to flash it at 480x272 on SE-C with X-Flash?

Interesting you bring this up, cuz just yesterday I made my own...it's not much, but I hope you'll enjoy it...BTW, if you want to reduce the original image to the 60 X 34 size, it'll always come out bad...it's a huge diference in resolution...that's why.

It won't let you just flash it at 480 x 272 dimensions? This would seem one of the few areas 1.50 tops SE.

EDIT: I know that 1.50 uses 300 x 170. But my point is, it would seem impossible to make a bg look good at the tiny demensions 2.71 requires. Which wouldn't be a problem, but you can't have the wavy lines on the XMB unless the wallpaper is flashed. (It won't work if you just "save a pic as bg")

Hey ppl!!

The size of the PSP screen is:

300px X 170 px

UPDATE: oh... sorry... didn't saw that Mr. Shizzy already said that! XD

So basically there is no way to flash a decent looking bg to 2.71 SE b/c of resolution? I know you can set a pic as wallpaper, but then you can't have the wavy lines.

You can always go for simple gradation patterns in the 60 X 34 resolution, as they always come out looking extra smooth...but something very elaborate like that 480 X 272 image, when shrunken down to size will always look mighty awful...PS, if you flash a 480 X 272 image on 1.50 fw you end up with messed up XMB icons...the highest resolution for a safe BG flash on 1.50fw is 300 X 170....meaning, any original 480 X 272 res image can be modified to that res and still look good.

Give these a go if you want. I can assure you they look nice, as I have em flashed at the moment.
